The Project
3/4 of Villains (an agency my friends and I formed back in 2008 / 09) were in SXSW (either 2008 or 2009) because 2 of us had a show there and one, of us helped shoot some video footage. My memory is a bit foggy, but I think we met the guys from Datarock during one of our many smoke breaks in the hotel. Contacts were exchanged and we organized their first show here. For some reason they did not have their new album, Red, in hand for the show. To remedy the situation, the band decided to do a promo version and we got to work designing this version of the album. We added our own touch to the existing artwork and also designed the packaging for it. It was hand assembled and were distributed to the crowd in attendance.
