The Project
In my opinion, Nike’s kits with Inter Milan and Chelsea has challenged the perception of how sports kits look. Bold and playful patterns were adorned in those team kits and it has inspired me to apply the same sentiment with the Singapore football team kit. That was the stepping stone to this project.However, this time round I wanted to use a typography-led approach to form patterns that make up the design of the kit. The master pattern spells out Boston. The master pattern was used to expand on the design. What I loved about this project was how a methodology of communication can be applied not only as adornment, but also carry the potential for utilitarian purposes.
